Dancing Addie

One of many smiles lately! All you have to do is talk to our little guy and out comes the smiles! Addie was tough to please when she was this young. I don't think I really saw good smiles until 4 months!
Okay, yesterday was Addie's last dance class and all the parents got to watch. Addie was a little hesitant to do everything away from Mom and Dad. So, for the majority of the class she stayed close to us but still did everything the teacher asked her to do. These are pics of the tumbling portion of the class. She did great! She is a little young for the class (age range 2-4) and gets distracted very easily but it was a great experience for both of us I think. I plan on more dance in the future!
As you can see, we are still the shortest in the group! Doesn't she look adorable in her little pink skirt? She is turning into such a little lady!
Proud Dad!
Proud Mom! (no smiles though - she just will not smile for a picture)

Big Mama!

Here is a pic of me just hours before Charlie was born. I can't believe I was that big!

First time I held my baby boy...wish you could see his face!
When Grandpa and Grandma came to visit Addie and see Charlie for the first time. We went to go feed the ducks!

The family (minus Charlie - he was in the stroller sounds asleep) at the Memphis Zoo. By the way, Memphis has a much better zoo than Nashville. Ours is pretty lame.

Updates on Charlie

We love our baths! No crying yet.

Charles Franklin Say has arrived!

Charles Franklin Say

Born May 23, 2008

2:29 p.m.

7 lbs 2 oz.

19 3/4 inches

After a uncomplicated c-section, little Charlie entered our world. He has lots of hair, just like big sister Addie did when she was born. He has very thin feet with really long toes! He has been a very good baby so far and has barely cried. (Let's hope he keeps that up!) Breastfeeding is going well, just trying to balance that milk supply right now with the demand.

My mom is here and has been a tremendous help to all of us. Addie is adjusting well. She wants to go see her brother and give him kisses. She will be in full time day care the rest of this week but will start to go only Tues/Thurs starting next week. We will see how it goes when little Charlie is around her more often.

Charlie Say's Planned Birthday!

My c-section has officially been scheduled for Wednesday, May 28th at 2:00 p.m. I can't believe I actually know the day. That is 5 weeks from today! My last day at work will be Wednesday, May 21st (4 Weeks from today).

I went to my 34 week appt today and my blood pressure was still elevated but lower than last time. She decided to take blood to test my levels to make sure I don't have preeclampsia. I have also been instructed to rest for 1 hour when I get home each evening - impossible! So, my doctor has advised me to leave work 1 hour early each day and go home and lie down. We will see if I can actually do that.

Charlie is in the headdown position so he is ready to go! I go back for my 36 week appointment on 5/7/08. Stay tuned...
